As the largest country in Southern Africa and of African Portuguese countries, Angola transcended South Africa to be China's largest trade partner in Africa in 2006, which concurrently constituted as the largest source of crude oil of China in Africa for successive 15 years since China commenced to import crude oil from Angola in 1993.On the basis of inheriting the established friendly ties between China and Angola, advancing and burgeoning bilateral ties bears waxing and considerate significance for China to implement the diversified strategy of energy import, mitigate China's rely on the import of oil from Middle East, and ultimately guarantee China's energy security in the foreseeable future.China unveiled its energy diplomacy with Angola in 1993, which evolved into the multi-tier, wide-spread and all-dimensional framework of energy collaboration confronted with many a opportunities and concurrent challenges encompassing Angola's political risks, oil transportation issues and other issues, which enlists the necessity of multi-prolonged measures to prudently push forward the process of China's energy diplomacy with Angola.China should attach great importance to instituting the partnership of energy strategy between China and Angola to push forward the process of energy diplomacy between China and Angola, which will furnish many a explorations and references for China to build overall partnership of energy diplomacy in a bid to safeguard China's energy security and cement the overall situation of China's foreign affairs.
