Since 1789 American constitution declares the protection of U.S. media's freedom of speech, the American media has been always considered "fourth power" of U.S. government. In fact, however, neither the constitution of the United States regulates the specific relation between media and government, nor explains the means that government imposes on media. This paper will focus on the White House's influence on media and presents to reader through its established news agencies and implementation of the methods and strategies. Based on the files about war in Iraq opened by the pentagon on April 28, 2008, the articles analysis vividly how the pentagon influences the military analysts to shape public opinion and media. Finally, this paper will make its analysis and conclusions.
