The Constraints Of Our Volunteer Team Development And Its Solution

Volunteer campaigns had emerged on a global scale since the 1970s. About 20 years later, the advent of China's volunteer service mainly maintained by young people gave the old country a new public horizon. Since then, voluntary undertakings had made great contribution to economy and politics as well as social and cultural development, especially after May 12, 2008, when the huge earthquake in Sichuan took place. However, problems such as still need solutions. At present, volunteer campaign in China still faces many difficulties, such as undeveloped social cognition for volunteering, low participation rate, lack of relevant rule of laws, and financial difficulties. These problems seriously restrict the development; thus, need to be studied in time.To begin, this paper tries to find constrains and problems of China's voluntary organization development from the comparison of volunteer services home and abroad, and makes suggestions. Then in three aspects this paper outlines a suggested way of volunteer word construction: the principle, external conditions, and construction and management. This paper seek to promote the healthy development of our volunteer campaign by strengthening the concept of volunteer service with social cognition, with the full utilization of government resources and with support from the community.
