With the coming of the technological economy and globalization era, the society put up with higher request for postgraduates'practice ability development, which attracts more and more people's attention. How to explore out new kinds of learning methods to take the place of the traditional teaching patterns becomes an urgent issue which need be solved through China's current curriculum reforms. While the appearance of PBL is able to have a clue to current curriculum reforms. The pattern of PBL derives from the problem solving-oriented teaching method, which is firstly thought by American neurology professor Howard Barrows in 1969. The method relies on technology application and the development of the future professional ability, therefore, the teaching pattern is popular around the world during these several years. PBL is called as the most eye-catching innovation in abroad years'teaching reforming.The author takes the basic theory of PBL as the research's theory reference, and the implement in mainland as practice reference, and finally stays at the implement as well as the extending application of PBL in postgraduates'teaching in China. The whole thesis could fall into four parts: 1. Introduction. 2. An exploitation of"PBL". 3. Case studies of PBL in postgraduates'teaching in China. 4. Rethinking.The part of introduction mainly introduces the research focuses, the value, the clue and methods, and making a comprehensive comment on the studying situations of PBL at home and abroad, pointing out their limitations and our innovation. The PartII unscramble the basic theory and implement of PBL. Firstly, it introduces the product and development process of PBL, and has defined its connotation and operational process. Then, exploiting the basic characteristics and applying scope of PBL. At last, introducing the implement situation of the teaching pattern in USA; The partIII taking the case studies of PBL in postgraduates'teaching in China as a starting, mainly introducing its implement process, and expounding the implement effect in investigation form. Finally, summarising the existing problems and improving tactics of PBL in teaching experiments. PartIV, In terms of our country's postgraduates'current education situation, summarizing the limitation of PBL in our country's postgraduates'teaching application, and putting forward several advices.
