This paper studies how to use the mathematical problem situations to improve students' mathematical creative thinking. At first, the current situation of students' mathematical creative thinking is studied via questionnaire method, and then the information and data obtained from the study are analyzed carefully. On the basis of realizing the status, the paper searches the influences that five kinds of mathematical problem situations have on mathematical creative thinking. Under the guidance of this theoretical assumption, demonstrations are made to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the mathematical problem situations in improving the students' creative thinking. This paper is mainly composed of four parts.Part one is introduction. It's about the necessity and the importance to study the mathematical creative thinking, and present the major problem of this research. The systematic analysis based on the current situation of mathematical creative thinking.Part two is the introduction of the theory. On the basis of the theory of Gilford and Broun to discuss the feasibility of training students' mathematical creative thinking; and then this study gives the definition of mathematical creative thinking and mathematical problem situations, and the relation between them.Part three is the investigation of the present. This part used questionnaire survey and math test to realize the status of the students' mathematical creative thinking. The result is students' mathematical creative thinking is low summit. And then I give the following four points of proposal for teaching:(1) Create good teaching environment(2)Strengthen the training of divergent thinking and conversion(3)Protect the doubt spirit of students(4)Chang the status of summitPart four is the demonstration. I explore the effectiveness and feasibility of using mathematical problem situation. Under the guidance of the theory I made the empirical research and test the result. The result is this way of training students' creative thinking is feasible and effective. Students' creative thinking was improved. Students can solve the problem by different kinds of way and the best students got a better development.At last, on the basis of recommendations of this research I put forward the following four points of proposals for teaching.(1)Chang teachers' education concepts and train students' creative thinking (2)Permeate the innovative education into daily academic activates(3)Pay more attention to train students' consciousness of creativity(4)Don't relax the study of the basic knowledgeThe creative of this paper is make mathematical problem situation as a method to improve students' mathematical creative thing, the result of this study is this method is feasibility and affectivity.
