It is obviously that education can affect a group’s social status. The higher a group’s educationlevel is, the more the group influence on this ethnic group’s affaires. This suggests that theeducation level and the progress of the society is of great significance to the development ofethnic relations. Based on such an idea, this paper is meant to take a further research on howthe education gradually changes the local people’s relationships in different nationalities in AnShun city of Gui Zhou province.First, there are too many differences in their education levelsamong the minorities by studying the education situations of An Shun areas. However, withthe development of China’s economics and the laws related education implementing, therehave been a trend that level of education of ethnic groups are also turning into much narrowerin recent times. Second, supported by functionalism theory, especially from the aspect of theAngle of Gordon’s ethnic relations theory, the paper will elaborate the influences oncross-national marriage, ethnic communication, ethnic identity and cultural blendingaccording to the diversity of education levels. During the process of this research, it reveals tous,as the increase of education,that the rate of cross-national marriage has a great leap overin local people. Meanwhile, In terms of ethnic interaction, the higher the level of education ofethnic and sectarian exchanges more frequently. As for ethnic identity, with the improvementof people affected by education degree, it seems that the diversity of nation-identity isgradually faded out even forgotten phenomenon in the history of this nation, what ‘s more,different kinds of people come into an agreement that they are co-existed in the circle ofChinese cultures, and so is to the culture blending. With the improvement of education degreemakes people have more opportunity to understand his national culture, it is easy for culturalinteraction between different ethnic groups and penetration to eventually appear and to mix upthe national culture integration trend.Finally, standing on the conclusion by all sorts ofstudying, it once again discusses the probably solutions of how to continue narrowing theeducation gap among groups and the protection of cultural diversity, vigorously carryingforward the traditional culture of the article analysis the two aspects of ethnic relations toconverge at the same time.
