With the development of the society economic, the necessity of Finance ManagementEducation appeared more and more obviously, the finance management contents ofprimary school textbooks attracted attention. The finance management contents of primaryschool textbooks could be divided into three parts: finance management sense, financemanagement knowledge, finance management ability. The finance management senseincluded correct view of money, view of interest, and view of consumption. The financemanagement knowledge included money knowledge, financial knowledge, andconsumption knowledge. The finance management ability included the ability of makingmoney and the ability of reasonable use of money.Based on the analysis of necessity of finance management education on pupils byusing questionnaire, it took the PEP extensively used and Qingdao used in Shandong forinstance, the present situation of finance management contents of primary school textbookswere described. The present situation included contents choice, contents organization,contents arrangement, and contents value orientation.The research showed that, the finance management contents seemed to be disorderly,but in fact, there was a thread running through all these contents. The finance managementcontents had already been concerned and shown by textbooks. However, some problemsstill existed in the textbooks: in the first place, the finance management contents wereundervalued, which led to a shortage of finance management contents; in the second place,the cultivation of finance management sense was ignored, the parts of finance managementsense were monotonous; in the third place, the finance management knowledge werelacking in logical, and suffered from repetition, not systematic and incomprehensive; in thelast, the survey of finance management ability were one-sided.One of the primary reason of these problems lies in the neglect on financemanagement education in our country, traditional culture and existing educational purposeled to prefer cultivating high-score student. Due to the late beginning, our country had not made overall and deep research on finance management education, which was anotherreason. Faced with these problems, countermeasure should be seek actively, the currentcurriculum could be perfect by developing special textbooks or electing financemanagement course.
