The new curirculum reform is in full swing for many years, rfom the initial expeirmentarea of Shandong, Guangdong, Ningxia and Hainan four provinces to gradually spread out allover the country. Among them, the physical elective course is a feature of the new curriculumreform. Elective courses on the basis of respect students’ choice, fully mobilize students’learning interest and initiative, meets the requirements of personalized, diversified leanring.At the same time, the implementation of physical elective course for high school studentsknowledge and skills development,to the cultivation of practice ability and innovationconsciousness, relfects the quality education concept of talent cultivation.Now, I am to regard Foreign language school afifliated to Shanghai normal university asary study case, and to do a research about the enforcement of the physics elective courses inhigh school so as to reveal some real and speciifc problems and the enforcement of thephysics elective course of high school In our China, and to come up with some effectivesuggestions that may help.Through some investments, which were made in several leadinghigh schools, some factors that influence the enforcement of physics selective course in highschool have been found. So this essay give a result that when settle down the physics selectivecourses in high school, we’d better pay attention to the systematic, the operational and thescientiifc of the setting of the curirculum. To deal with the relationship between thecompulsory physics course and the elective physics course, we ought to highlight theimportance of the fundamental theory of the compulsory physics course and consummate theindividuality development of the elective physics course. Based on all those things, the basicrequirements of the enforcement of the elective physics course in high school are put forward.First of all, we have to make clear the aim of the enforcement. Then, the activeness and thepractice of the course need to be popped out. Thirdly, we have to pay attention to the class andthe individual ness of the course. Last but not least,the innovation and the spirit of the coursemust be mentioned.At present, the setting up of physics selective courses have made some effect in practice,but there are still some problems in some aspects as teaching idea, curirculum setting,teaching contents, teaching methods and curriculum management. To better solve thosediiffculites,we ought to reinforce the force of synthesis reforms of educational departmentsand to open up more kinds of physics elective courses, so that we may meet the need of thestudents and to better link up the course in college. Also,it is suggested to develop someSchool-based teaching book and to explore the pirvate learning method, study attitude anddifferent school features. In these ways it is possible to built a better system of physicsselective courses and to pave a more flat road in the actual practice of those courses.
