Investigation And Analysis On The Current Situation Of National Traditional Sports In Shanghai Primary And Middle Schools

Chinese national traditional sports are created by Chinese working people，which considered about the national lea lures in specific areas. It is one of theimportant parts of the Chinese traditional culture and it is an excellent nationalculture. In order to provide more opportunities for students to contact the Chinesetraditional culture and understand the long history and brilliant national culture ofChina， it is ncccssary to add more Chinese national traditional sports courses inShanghai schools. Moreover， most of the Chinese national traditional sports arecollective activities*so it not only can stimulate the national spirit but also canimprove the social group consciousness when they attend the activities.Meanwhile, it can lay the human foundation of the development of Chinesenational traditional sports.According to the results of research which did in some Shanghai schools inSongjiang district by questionnaires and interviews with teachers, this essay isanalyzing the process of national traditional sports in Shanghai. There are severalproblems of the national traditional sports in Songjiang district and the mainproblem is that the activity form of Chinese national traditional sports issingleness, including the activities in the classes and out of classes. In general,there only have a few kinds of Chinese national traditional sports in ShanghaiSongjiang district schools; limited activity spaces for students in schools;teachers are lack of professional knowledge and skills about the Chinese national traditional sports; teenagers pay much more attention on the foreign activities.Therefore, this essay raises several soluLiuns to solve these problems of Chinesenational traditional sports in Shanghai Songjiang district:1.The educational sector in government should pay more attention on thesports equipment in schools and ask the school authorities to put enoughequipment for students if there have need， in order to guarantee theplaying requirement of students. As for the in-service PE teachers， theyshould take some national traditional sports training courses to gain somenovelty sports abilities and add these new items into classes. Checking thesports infrastructures regularly, in order to avoid the potential safetyhazard and ensure the safety of students during the classes. It can guaranteesome novel, ornamental and interesting national traditional sports to carryout,2.Developing the national traditional sports with local character which basedon the local actual and existing resources. Teachers should strengthen thestudent’s ideology quality education and patriotism education whenteaching the traditional national spotrs to students. In this way, studentscould know the Chinese long history and splendid culture by unconsciouslyinfluences and lay a mass base for inheriting and carrying forward of thenational culture.3.Shanghai songjiang sports bureau should associate the folk traditionalculture organizations to hold some competitions in the theme of "national traditional sports" regularly. In addition， the competitions should allowmore teenagers and social people to join in and give play to thetransmission ability of media to expand the influence. In this way， therewill be an upsurge of national traditional sports study and communication.
