Conversation-based moral education, is one of the most important concept of moral education curriculum reform. New curriculum reform has been carried out for more than ten years, although the concept of conversation-based moral education won support among the people, the practice in the classroom and the teachers’understanding of the conversation is still in the exploratory stage. There are still some misunderstandings on the construction of the conversation-based moral education class, and the real conversation-based moral education class has not been systematically organized. After ten-years reform of moral education, it is our urgent task to rethink and explore the connotation of conversation-based moral education class, and push forward the establishment of it.The paper mainly adopts the literature method, observation method and interview method for study.First of all, the study explained the connotation of Conversation-based moral education class and basic features.Then, the author visited6public elementary schools in Nanjing and watched videos of classes of more than10primary schools in Hangzhou, Xuzhou, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Xinjiang.The paper presented the real appearance of Conversation-based moral education class.The study found that, moral education class has some spirit of conversation,and the teachers are trying to built a respectful%trustful and caring relationship between teachers and students though,it’s not the real.There are still some problems in the classroom.Some teachers think that conversation is the simple q&a,Others argue that conversation is a kind of teaching method.Therefore, the real spirit of conversation are lost.The paper analyses the causes of resistance in the conversation-based moral education class, which discussed in four aspects: the influence of traditional teaching, the existence of the teachers’authority control, the lack of conversation literacy and the obstacles of school policy.Despite all the difficulties, as long as the teachers, students and the principals are willing to put conversation into action, the real conversation-based moral education class will come true.
