The research of this paper is carried out in the third phrase of the reform of the MoralEducation Curriculum for Vocational Schools. The paper discusses the classroom practiceactivities, in accord with the idea of “reinforcing practice activities”,“learning by doing",proposed by the new Moral Education Syllabus for Vocational Schools, which is against the oldidea about practical teaching. After studying the practice activities carried out in the moraleducation classroom, the researcher proposes the practice activities should be designed andimplemented under the guidance of teaching by activities, and teachers should choose theappropriate topics according to the characteristic of vocational students and teaching requirementof moral education curriculum.Students learn by practice, which is the new teaching method--a combination of theoryteaching and practice activities. In this way, teaching, learning and doing are combined.Accordingly, knowledge learning, ability training and moral behavior shaping are mutually unified.As a result, the attractiveness of the moral education courses is enhanced and the teaching effect isimproved.In this paper, literature review is first introduced, from the perspective of the definition, thesignificance and the classification of practice activities of moral education curriculum. Theliterature study shows that scholars in this field have not yet reached a consensus on the definitionof it. In addition, many researches on extracurricular practice activities are reported, whileclassroom practice activities are rarely explored in China. That is the reasons why the author isstudying how the teachers are carrying out classroom practice activities of moral educationcurriculum.To build up the credibility of the study, survey and case study are employed. Questionnairesand interviews are used in the research to find out how the teachers and students do in theclassroom practice activities and to analyze the problems and the reasons. After studying theteaching design, implementation and reflection, the author summarizes the effective strategies ofclassroom practice activities in moral education curriculum.Furthermore, the author not only gives the definition and classification of classroom practiceactivities of moral education curriculum, but also summarizes the general principle, the processesand effective strategies of classroom practice activities after the literature review and the surveyreport. In fact, the new teaching method of classroom practice activities is to help the students getthe cognitive and emotional experience directly from virtually situation or event, which isdifferent from the old teaching methods--focus on teaching theory, and ignore students’ practice.Meanwhile, the combination of moral education curriculum, students’ life and vocational activitiesby various of practice activities stimulates students’ learning motivation, increases their interest inlearning and encourages their initiatives. To sum up, the new teaching method combines theorywith practice, unlike the old one–only by theoretical lectures.
