Research On Discipline Construction In The View Of Knowledge Planning

The knowledge programming is individuals or organizations adjust the overall structure of knowledge which is based on the power. University is the palace of knowledge and discipline is the basic of it. University is the institutional establishment of knowledge development in modern society and it is the place for power to achieve the knowledge programming. This paper tries to research the discipline construction in universities from the perspective of knowledge programming. At first, this paper reviews the past and the change of knowledge programming. We can find by the classification of knowledge that it is difficult to get rid of the power for the knowledge development in any time and there is a basic form like power-knowledge. From the different sources of power, we can find the different types of knowledge programming. Then we can make it clear that the knowledge management has different performance not only in different age but also in different disciplines. Second, this paper tries to display the relationship between knowledge programming and disciplinarity. By backtracking the process that the three divisions of knowledge and institutionalization of disciplinarity system in the nineteenth century. We can find the domination process of discipline construction is discipline institutionalization logic which is the result of knowledge management in nineteenth century. The system of disciplinarity has become a template which is followed by the discipline for organization in the university and a lot of discipline has been formed according to this template. The above views are trying to explain that make a clear boundary between discipline construction and knowledge management is necessary. Finally, this paper describes the historical and current situation of the discipline construction. We can find that the college discipline construction constantly showing a narrow state. This narrow state expresses the unbalanced choice and uneven ups and downs. These expressions are related to power. There are both consistency and conflict between discipline construction and knowledge programming. And based on this point, this paper focuses on the problems existing in the Chinese college discipline construction, and then putting forward the possible approach of Chinese college discipline construction. In a word, for getting rid of the crisis which is bought by the path dependence, the discipline construction must make it clear the reason for such a division of knowledge and such formation of the discipline.
