This thesis takes the textbook Experience Chinese and Happy Chinese that used in the middle school of Thailand as the main object of research. Experience Chinese and Happy Chinese are the books I used in the middle school of Thailand when I was the volunteer teaching Chinese. The research is composed of the following parts:the compiling concept, the structure of subject matter, the vocabulary, the grammar and exercises deeply through statistical method descriptive method and analytical method. This analysis is based on my teaching experience and relevant theories. We found the advantages and weaknesses:In the aspect of the compiling concept, Experience Chinese and Happy Chinese advocate happy learning, Experience Chinese insist on the principle of localization. The content of textbook approaches to actual life of Thailand. Happy Chinese is used for the students who use English as the mother tongue. The textbook persist in fundamental and commonality.In the aspect of the structure of subject matter, the auther analysed the constituent part of the textbooks. Experience Chinese has more abundant content, more kinds of forms and more focus on the way of experiential learning than Happy Chinese. Which is useful to increase the interesting and raise the efficiency of learning Chinese.In the aspect of the volunteer, the auther counted the vocabulary of all,the vocabulary of every books and the vocabulary of every lessens. Also we counted the ranked distribution of the volunteer. The gap of the vocabulary in every books of Experience Chinese is large and the vocabulary of every lessens is more than Happy Chinese. All of these increased the pressure of learning Chinese.In the aspect of the grammar, we counted the quantity and the rank of the grammar in tthe two books, and described the differences of the way of the grammar exhibition. Experience Chinese emphasize syntactical structure and composition, do not introduce the grammatical knowledges directly. And Happy Chinese exhibits the grammar by Chinese characters and formula. It is more simple and easier to understand for students.In the aspect of the exercise, we counted the total of the exercises, contrasted and analysed the content and formalization. There are about8exercises in every lessons of two textbooks, this is appropriated for50minutes teaching. Experience Chinese has more abundant content,and more kinds of forms than Happy Chinese. Also Experience Chinese has more activities and games,but they are not practical.According to what is mentioned, advantages and disadvantages in the textbooks will be found and a reference aid will be made for the revised in the near future. Hopely, it will also shed new light on the understanding and compiling targeted textbooks overseas in the future.
