Skill course is the main course of information technology course in high school, and learning the skill knowledge need the teachers demonstrate and students exercises. So that the teaching method ultimately depends on two parts------the teacher’s demonstration, the students’ practice. And there are differences in the choice of the teaching method for different types of the skill knowledge.In this study, according to large numbers of reference, writer combed several demonstration-practice teaching methods, which are classified into two kinds, namely "demonstration-before-practice teaching method" and "practice-before-demonstration teaching method". On the basis of theory, collected some teaching design, video, etc. And made three assumptions combined with the questionnaire and interviews of teachers. According to the assumptions, selected two parallel classes and a key class in senior grade one for education experiment. The experiments were conducted in the wheel group, by controlling these three variables (the level of the students, teaching methods and teaching content) show different levels of learning ability of students on different teaching methods of attitude and applicability, the applicability of different kinds of the skill knowledge teaching method. Through two rounds of experiments, parallel comparison and longitudinal comparison, ultimately based on the experimental data obtained, and combined with the early results of the analysis and findings of teachers draw final conclusions:1. The demonstration-before-practice teaching method and the practice-before-demonstration teaching method can both achieve the desired teaching objectives. There is no right or wrong on choosing which teaching methods, only reflects the merits.2. There are two kinds of skill knowledge divided by the students’ mastery:the basic knowledge and the migratory knowledge.3. Different kinds of skill knowledge are suitable for different teaching method. The basic knowledge is suitable to the practice-before-demonstration teaching method. And the migratory knowledge is suitable to the demonstration-before-practice teaching method.4. Different teaching atmosphere suitable for different teaching methods, and there is less relationship with the students’ abilities.
