Research On The Construction Of Process Management System In Private Colleges

With the development of information technology and the arrival of the popularization of higher education, higher education in our country has shifted from "seller’s market" to "buyer’s market". Sharp changes have taken place both in internal and external environment. The traditional rigid management pattern and tedious work processes of higher school, has been unable to meet the need of modern education. Especially the private colleges, which are self-raised funds and lack of management experiences, want to promote the efficiency of management and the satisfaction of students more urgent. Therefore, this article will explore a new way to improve the level of higher school’s management from the angle of process management, combined the advanced process management ideas which were developed in the enterprises with the management work of higher schools.This paper firstly introduces the basic concepts、the implementation processes、the implementation methods and the research and overseas and domestic research status of process management and business process reengineering (BPR), analyzes the current situation of private colleges in China to find the main problems, and explores the feasibility of private colleges to build process management system by comparing the similarity of management systems between higher school and enterprise, and analyzing the new opportunities which is brought to the higher school management work as the development of information technology as well as the successful experiences of BPR methods using in the field of higher education. Secondly, under the guidance of process reengineering and process management theory, taking Yunnan Technology and Business University as example, this paper introduces the method and process of building the private colleges’process management system, and introduces how to choose and optimize the key processes by analyzing the process of "graduate and leave school". Finally, this paper puts forward the supporting measures to keep the process improving continuously and ensure the process management system implemented smoothly. They are as follows:The school leadership pay high attention to and take participate in directly; Change management ideas, building process management culture; To strengthen the institutional construction, bring in ISO9000standard series to establish a documented quality management system; To strengthen the construction of the management team and build a high-quality management team which is "of reasonable structure, stable, with high quality and strong service consciousness"; Build a perfect management information platform or digital campus.How to building the higher school’s management system is still in the stage of research and exploration, this paper explores the basic method of how to build the higher school’s management system based on the analysis of the combination of theory with practice and by studying the relevant theories of process reengineering and process management. I hope this paper can provide some new ideas for private colleges to improve their management level from the angle of process management.
