Logistics in colleges and universities has the main responsibility to serve for the teaching,scientific research,faculty and students.The ideal management and service of logistics and the beautiful environment on campus are beneficial to education.Logistics is an important part of our country's colleges and universities.It ensures the material supplies for the faculty and students' work,study and daily life.However,with the development of informatization,school internal and external environment is undergoing dramatic changes.With the diversified demands of staff and students,the disadvantages of university logistics management system and service system have emerged.Low efficiency is the main problem and has become a "bottleneck" of the higher education development and school-running mode transformation.The logistics management system should be reformed.We must keep pace with the times and explore new method of logistics management in colleges and universities under the new situation to improve logistics service quality in an all-round way.BPR is a new kind of management concepts and methods,which has been popular all over the world since the end of the twentieth century.Business process being the center,the need and satisfaction of clients being the object,the existing business process is fundamentally rethought and redesigned.In order to break the traditional functional organization structure and build a new process-organization to improve quality and service,and lower the cost,we should use advanced manufacturing technology,information technology and modern management means.This paper analyzes how to apply the theory,method and technology of business process reengineering to university logistics management.This paper adopts the method of system reform in BPR.By analyzing the research background,research status at home and abroad and related theories,contacting staff in the field of university logistics and combining the experience in the author's own work,the author finds out the main problems existing in XX University logistics management,and analyzes the feasibility of the implementation of process reengineering in XX university logistics management;Through reverse identification methods,the paper identifies logistics management main process.According to the principle of selecting key processes(low performance,high importance,implementability),the author selects key processes through discussion,interview and investigation.Furthermore,by analyzing specific performance with the method of ASME,the author starts from the most basic elements,finds the key points in the process.The author also applies the analysis method of ESI A(removal,simplification,integration,automation)to the logistics management process reengineering in XX University,evaluates overall performance of the new process,and puts it into effect.By theoretical analysis and practical application,it is proved that the new process dramatically improves service,quality and management efficiency.The staff and students are satisfied.The result further proves that BPR theory is feasible and essential in logistics management in universities and colleges.
