Taekwondo is an Olympic game which originates from NorthKorean. Although the development time is very short in China, with Chinese taekwondoathletes achieving outstanding results in world-class competitions continuously and thestrong impact of Korean culture and art on Chinese, especially the teenagers, taekwondohas been booming in China these years. It has been one of the most popular sports inChina, particularly among children. By the Poomsae of kickboxing and fighting, it canenhance learner’s physical fitness and make them acquire some self-defense skills aswell as a brave and persistent spirit. Featuring with fighting, performing, it can helpregularize and improve oneself and has gained rapid development in the world.Sanda, as a expressive way of Chinese martial art, is a part of China’s traditionalculture. Chinese martial art, both extensive and profound, starts far back and runs a long, long course. however, throughout the nation, its development is barely satisfactory, especially among the huge group of children, which results in shortage of Chinesemartial art talents. On the contrary, taekwondo, introduced from other country, has beenspringing up. Children are the hope for a country. Whether a sport has a future or notmainly depends on its ability to inherit from generation to generation. Hence, studyingthe children Sanda and its development is of vital importance and necessity. This thesis, through literature review and comprehensive analysis method, has consulted varioussports academic thesis on the CNKI. Based on the success of taekwondo in China, thepaper has studied the feasibility of Chinese martial art developing among children, thebackup energy source, and put forward strategies.By analysis and comparison, we have reached such conclusions.1.for promotion, we should focus on the art of attack and defence and carry outSanda among children. In order to appeal to the heroic image of having a strong senseof justice and ready to help the weak with extraordinary fighting skills, we must holdthe Sanda competitions and return to the substansive characteristic of Wushu---attackand defence。 If we only focused on routine teaching or action training rather thanactual combat, children would be disappointed with it. Consequently, it’s not beneficialfor Sanda’s development among kids.2. For the promotion content, centering on the children group, we should makesome changes on the rules and skills concerning with training arrangements andpractical exercises.3. We should change the idea only for victory. Learning from the concept of “Point Limit”, we should attach our attention to improving one’s qualities and drawing meritsfrom each other so as to improve ability to make immediate response and psychologicalenduring capacity as well as anti-stress ability.4.we should focus on etiquette education and advocate the thought of cultivatingmorality before learning Wushu. As a result, the martial art practicer will understandthat someone with high skills can also be virtuous.5. We must lay importance on the spreading function of school.6. Formulating a concerned martial arts grading can enhance children’s passion tolearnSanda.
