:Sports education is an important part of college education work, its main task is to through the sports teaching to make college students improve the level of physical fitness to exercise means and methods, so as to lay a good foundation for the lifelong sports. Basketball is public sports colleges and universities to carry out the project, one of the most extensive project for a long time, most universities in our country the traditional force-feeding teaching method of probability of students in basketball teaching, its attention to basketball technique and tactics essentials of professor, emphasize normative, and students’ basketball sports attitude and cognitive ability are lack of the attention it deserves, this situation seriously restricts the college students’ learning and practicing basketball’s enthusiasm and the improvement of teaching effects, go against the cultivation of the college students’ lifelong sports consciousness, difficult to really realize the ultimate goal of physical education in colleges and universities. In recent years, in view of above situation, our country sports education workers from the perspective of reform of basketball teaching organization form, combining theoretical research and experimental study, obtained many substantive results, effectively improve the level of the basketball teaching effect. In this paper, on the basis of the previous scholars research and combined with relevant theory of education, puts forward the public sports in basketball teaching in universities of "game teaching method" teaching mode; For detection of "game teaching method" in common colleges and universities basketball class teaching effect in male body, to the mingde college of guizhou university of2010grade and2011grade6basketball body class (the experimental class3,3) that in comparative classes as the research object, design experiments, the experimental results show that compared with the traditional teaching methods, in the ordinary university basketball teaching male body using the effect of "game teaching method" can obtain the following teaching:teaching method used in the game of basketball to the male body, can effectively promote the level of basketball basic skills of learning, to master and improve; Can effectively improve and the development of students’ physical quality, and functional level; Can arouse the enthusiasm of the students to learn basketball, can effectively arouse the students’ interest in learning basketball interest; Can satisfy the students the actual psychological needs and desires, to form good sports learning attitude; Can arouse the enthusiasm of students actively participate in the extracurricular basketball exercise and self-consciousness, help the formation of the sports exercise habit, lay good foundation for lifelong sports.
