The new curriculum reform, which has brought new opportunities to teaching the Political Education Course in senior high schools, has also proposed even higher requirement for it. Building effective classroom, which fully reflects the "students-oriented" teaching philosophy, is the inevitable requirement for new curriculum reform, as well as the need to promote the benign development of teachers and the all-round development of students. After the new curriculum reform, the political education course standards, while implementing the ideological level and political appeal, attach more importance to combining the characteristics of students at different growth stages and their living practices. In order to implement the course concept of Political Education in senior high school, many basic-level teachers have been committed to building effective classroom for the Political Education Course under the guidance of the concepts of new curriculum. Nevertheless, in the teaching process of the Political Education Course, most teachers can not really get rid of the constraints of traditional teaching concepts as a result of the undeveloped teaching concepts, skills, methods and evaluations; they are still "putting old wine in new wineskins". At present, the phenomenon of "pseudo-effective classroom" exist widely; the new round of educational reform is on the way, both of which force us to again face the subject of "building effective classroom for the Political Education Course". which is not novel at all. From the3perspectives--the connotation and evaluation standards of effective classroom, as well as the features of effective classroom for the Political Education Course, this paper carries out a re-interpretation of the effective classroom for the Political Education Course; besides, in combination with the problems existing in political education teaching in senior high schools, and the practices of teaching reform done in recent years in Liaoning Province, the paper conducts a strategic research on the effective classroom teaching for the Political Education Course from the following3aspects:changing teaching philosophy and improving teachers’ professional qualities, actively exploring effective teaching methods, as well as promoting course evaluation reform. It is sincerely hoped that the research of this paper could be of some help for the basic-level teaching of the Political Education Course.
