‘Employment and education is foundation of the people s livelihood.’ Act assignificant element of vocational education, technical schools have cultured manyskilled talents for the economic development of regional area. However, pursuant tovarious reasons, including the continuing extension on enrollment of universities as wellas intensive competition between vocational schools, the quality of new students hasreduced continually in the recent years. Meanwhile, the state of major study of thestudents has been influenced and there is noticeable gap between the professional skillsof students and the criteria of the enterprise’s recruitment. This phenomenon hasseriously affected the achievement of the education purpose of technical schools.Furthermore, the economic development of regional area has also been restricted. Inorder to satisfy the fast changing demand of the labor market, the enhancement ofresearch on the education of technical schools, to find the reason of bad study state, andto culture the autonomous learning sensibility and ability of students have been verymeaningful for both the improvement of the student and the technical schools, even thewhole society.At present, it’s still lacked the research of vocational education independent study.This thesis will provide theoretical basis of upgrade the teaching strategy and quality invocational education. This research takes360students from Dalian X Technical Schoolas the object, and all of them have junior&senior high school background before theyenter school. The research realize the study appearance by survey and interview,reference to the theoretical research results of educational psychology domestically andinternationally, integrate theory with practice, with comparative study of the surveyresult. And through the all, we found the poor autonomous learning ability was causedby the following reasons. For the junior high school educational background student,their knowledge basis was poor, was bat at learning method, overly depend on teacher,lack of career goals and self-control. For the senior high school educational backgroundstudents, although they have strong logical ability and can integrate theory with practice,but they are lack of motivation, failure of willpower, monotonous learning progress. Themost common problem of the technical school students are bad learning climate andlack of self-control. Besides, the conservative learning method was also a main reason.This thesis consists of six dimensionalities according to Zimmerman’s theoreticalframework to conclusion the characters of the technical school students. The junior highschool educational background students have no specific target in learning and lack ofwillpower. They also have no scientific approach so they cannot plan the learning timeeffectively. They are lack of self-discipline and independence, not good at against theoutside interference. The senior high school educational background students have thespecific aim but they didn’t pay attention to the autonomous learning and have noeffective learning method. For both of the2kind of students, we suggest the teacher to teaching them separately. As for the junior, help them to set the aim properly; tostimulate their motivation; on the other hand, to guide the student follow the right wayand fall into a habit. As for the senior, the teacher should to popularize professionalknowledge at first, and create opportunity for the students. Regarding the commonproblem of the2grades students such as poor time management ability and learningenvironment adjustment ability, the teacher should make a mandatory plan per day andweek and check non-scheduled. Encourage timely and punish properly. Training thestudent to have self-discipline d high efficiency. In addition, we supposed the teacher toset the group for students when teaching to benefit of team work and communication.
