Curriculum reform is an important part of national basic education reform. Theschool-based curriculum development in the curriculum reform received extensive attention fromexperts and scholars. The problem that the existing courses in Society-adaptation schools is notconsistent with the school development is increasingly prominent. The development ofschool-based curriculum in Society-adaptation Schools has become a focus problem in newcurriculum reform and the focus of society-adaptation schools.This research work with Xigang RiXin School’s curriculum as a starting point, in-deeplyunderstand the status of the school-based curriculum development, which purpose is to provide acase study for the exploitation of the mentally retarded school-based curriculum in related fields ofstudy. In the way of accessing to information and self-made "mentally retarded school-basedcurriculum Checklist","mentally retarded school-based curriculum implementation observationtable", the author chooses45classes from different grades and subject-based curriculum in thisschool as the object of study to observe. The observation carries out from school-based curriculumdevelopment process, the target of existing school-based curriculum, content, implementation,evaluation and other aspects of the school-based curriculum development to master the status quoof the development of school-based curriculum in this school. Combining with interviews, thestudy analysis the advantages and achievements in the process of school-based curriculumdevelopment, the problems existing in the development process, and to propose appropriatecountermeasures based on the existing problem.The indication of the research results:1.RiXin school completely implement school-based curriculum development; School-basedcurriculum give priority to rehabilitative course and social adaptability; The curriculum goal isscientific; The course content has outstanding features; Curriculum implementation emphasis onindividualized education; Curriculum evaluation mechanisms is perfect while the implementationis poor.2.The development of school-based curriculum in Rixin school is in accordance with law ofcourse development; Organizational form is scientific; the development has obtained certain socialbenefits; The Developer of school-based curriculum in Rixin School get backward concepts andlack of knowledge; The development of school-based course lack of management system andperfect evaluation mechanism.This suggestions are attaching great importance to the theory of knowledge, changing theconcept of developers, enhancing the school-based curriculum management, perfectingschool-based curriculum evaluation mechanism.
