| With the development of special education,the development of teachers’ professional competence is becoming more and more important.“The Special Education Promotion Plan(2014-2016)” and “The Professional Standards of Special Education Teachers(Trial)” provides the direction for the development of teachers’ professional competence.The professional competence of teachers’ in mentally retarded school refers to the teachers in the teaching activities who make full use of the knowledge and skills related to the society-adaptation education to cultivate students’ development,for the purpose of fully promoting the potential skills of students in the teaching activities,stimulating students interest in learning,improving the all-round development of students and students’ special ability of social adaptation.The development of the professional ability of mentally retarded school teachers is directly related to the development of society-adaptation schools and the quality of special education.Improving teachers’ professional ability has become an important topic in the construction of mentally retarded school teaching staff,and in the improvement of teachers’ specialization level of mentally retarded school.Based on the survey method and interview method,150 teachers in mentally retarded school were selected as the object in the research.According to “The Professional Standards of Special Education(Trial)”,with tools of the self-made questionnaire of performance of professional competence of teachers in Mentally Retarded School(for teachers)and interview outline of professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded school(for teachers),this research discusses the existing problems of Professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded school in the creation and utilization of environmental education,teaching design,organization and implementation of evaluation and incentive,communication and cooperation,reflection and development and so on,to explore the performance level of professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded School,the performance of professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded school in different groups,and the problems of professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded school.The results show that: Professional competence of teachers in mentally retarded school reached the requirements of "The Professional Standards of Special Education Teachers(Trial)",but the development is not balanced;the middle aged teachers have the best performance;the creation and utilization of environmental education,organization continuous improves with the growth of seniority;teachers in mentally retarded school with senior professional title,the creation and utilization of environmental education have strong professional competence;there existing some problems such as the lack of the ability of educational evaluation,the combination ability of rehabilitation and education,the single way to interfere with the students’ behavior problems,and the reflection effect is not significant in Professional competence of teachers in Mentally Retarded School.Put forward educational suggestions: development of teaching design competence of teachers in mentally retarded school;pay more attention to the development of professional competence of young teachers in mentally retarded school;paying attention to the improve the competence of teachers in mentally retarded school in evaluation,rehabilitation,intervention and reflection ability. |
