Since reform and opening up, especially since the1990s, China’s privatecolleges have advanced by leaps and bounds not only in terms of size andquantity, but also in school-running level and quality. However, if private collegeswant to survive in the competition between colleges, great importance mustbe attached to the construction and development of teachers. Teachers inprivate colleges are the core and the most valuable human resources. They arealso the backbone of supporting the school and the foundation of school’seducational reform and sustainable development. Nonetheless, due to the shortcourse of private colleges and many policy limits in our country, how to expandprivate college teachers’ team has become a bottleneck for the furtherdevelopment of private colleges. It has become one of the problems that privatecolleges can’t be ignored as well.As an important way to construct and develop teachers’ team, private collegeteachers’ training is not only beneficial to improve teachers’ professional leveland management personnel, but also conducive to promoting the developmentof private colleges connotation and teaching quality. This article firstly discussesthe private college teaches’ training model based on the theory of the learningorganization, then analyses the background of our country’s private collegeteachers’ team construction and training work in macro. Next, this article takes adeep insight into the status quo of Shanghai private college teachers’ team construction and training work. And uses the learning organization as areference, it puts forward private college teachers’ training mode.Finally, itmakes a concrete analysis of the implementation of "strong teachers project" inShanghai and puts forward several suggestions. The purpose of this paper is tointroduce the learning organization theory to innovate private college teachers’training mode and to propose long-term, holistic and systematic feasible countermeasures. So that time and cost can be saved in the development of privatecollege teachers. As a result, learning atmosphere can be enhanced, and thedevelopment of private college teachers’ team can be accelerated so as to boostprivate colleges’ connotation development and give guidance to further theoryand practice.
