With the development of the times,China's economic structure has undergone major changes,and the educational concept of colleges and universities has undergone major changes.At the same time,the requirements of various employers for talents have also undergone qualitative changes.Private colleges and universities have developed rapidly and become an important part of higher education in China.Make necessary supplements to the shortcomings of China's existing higher education.As one of the important export channels of applied talents,private colleges and universities shoulder the responsibility of cultivating applied talents that meet the needs of society.In order to improve the quality of applied talents training in private universities,it is necessary to establish and improve a model system that is compatible with the needs of the training of applied talents in private universities.This paper uses the literature method,questionnaire survey method and case study method to study the application talent training mode.On the basis of extensive literature review,the author sorts out the existing talents in the UK,Germany and the United States by combing the existing literature.It also expounds the meaning and orientation of applied talents in China,and sorts out the research results of domestic experts and scholars on the training model of applied talents.In the field research of Q Institute,based on the business English major as an interdisciplinary compound major,it has stronger application and practical characteristics.The college business English teachers and students are given questionnaires and interviews with teachers and students.The college business English professional application talent training mode is deeply explored.Through the investigation of its current situation,it analyzes the application of the business English professional application talent training mode in the talent training program formulation,curriculum system construction,practical curriculum,teacher team building,There are problems in five aspects such as teaching quality assessment.Based on the problem,the reason analysis: First,the training program does not match the student's expected job position;second,the curriculum system is set to transplant public institutions,lack of personality;third,the implementation conditions of the practical curriculum are lacking;fourth,the lack of meeting the needs of application-oriented personnel training The classroom team;the fifth is not to attach importance to the construction and operation of the teaching evaluation mechanism.According to the existing problems,the corresponding solutions are proposed: first,the combination of production,study and research,and the construction of applied talent training mode;second,rational adjustment of teaching plans and scientific setting of courses;third,improving the proportion and implementation effect of practical courses;fourth,strengthening the teaching team Construction;Fifth,establish a sound teaching evaluation system.It is hoped that through the research of this paper,it will provide a theoretical basis for the reform of the application-oriented talent training mode of Business English in Q Institute,and bring feasible guidance and opinions to the construction of other professional and similar application-oriented talent training models of the same colleges and universities,and improve private colleges and universities.The quality of applied talents will help schools better serve local economic development.
