Everything is connected. Writing this article is to clearthe contact between ideological and political education ofcollege students and micro-blog. The development process ofmicro-blog indicates that the mainstream values cancertainly be spread in the micro-blog, but the use ofmicro-blog will bring negative influence on collegestudents’ ideological and political education work. Inorder to understand the link between the two, we must firstbegin to study from the micro-blog this social tool itselfincluding its origin, its characteristics, and itsdevelopment. Secondly, study from the intersection place ofmicro-blog and ideological and political education ofcollege students. If no relevance, the so-called universalsignificance is of no practical significance. It mainlyincludes the influence of micro-blog on college students,the attitudes and practices of colleges, universities andeducators towards micro-blog, and the role, theinsufficiency and defects of micro-blog in ideological andpolitical education of university students at present. Thispaper mainly uses the literature research method.Collecting the guidance document of the party and thegovernment on the work of ideological an political educationof college students by using micro-blog; experts andscholars study micro-blog, ideological and politicaleducation of college students and relationship between the two; Pay attention to the related university micro-blogs,views, compare and analyze of the published contents andupdate cycles of these university micro-blog. And thenreveal both connections, clear their problems, analyze thecauses, and put forward the countermeasures on these bases.The specific structure of this paper is: start from thebasic situation of micro-blog. This part begins with theorigin and the concept of micro-blog, and then analyzesfunctions, characteristics, and micro-blog’s differencefrom other network media. The second part of this paper isto introduce micro-blog influence on ideological andpolitical education of college students, which is dividedinto positive and negative effects. The third part is theuse of micro-blog on ideological and political educationwork in the current state, focuses on the existing problemsand dilemmas. The fourth part is to propose countermeasureswhich can solve the problem and get out of the predicament.
