With the rapid process of urbanization in recent years, the number of migrants and migrant children has been growing dramatically. Migrants make contributions to urban construction and social development, they also cause many problems. The learning adaptability of migrant children is one issue of concern. It has an impact on urban development, improvement of national quality and long-term social stability. Based on the theory of family education, we explore to the way of promoting migrant children’s learning adaptability.First, we summarize family factors of learning adaptability of migrant children. Second, we select the Q primary school in Nanjing as a case, investigate and analyze the present status of learning adaptability of4th,5th,and6th grade primary school students, Through questionnaire and field observation, we analyze migrant children’s learning attitude, learning methods, learning environment and mental health,and compare with the local children, grasp problems on learning adaptability of migrant children. Once again, selecting the Q primary school three migrant children’s parents, interviews, we try to master the family background of migrant children and to comprehensive analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of the family background. Last but not the least, according to the analysis of family factors and the family background characteristics of migrant children, we put forward related suggestions:changing the alienated concept of education; creating a new parenting styles; constructing harmonious parent-child relationship; constructing a suitable learning circumstances; weakening negative influence of left-behind and floating; clearing the responsibilities of home and classroom settings.
