Information technology courses of junior high school are usually considered to be Vice Lesson.In their lessons, students not only have low learning interest but also most of them are in a passive learning state. Except for these, they are mostly lack of practical problem-solving ability and innovation ability and other issues.In order to settle these issues, a lot of information technology specialists, researchers and classroom teachers are constantly engaged in new educational and teaching exploration and research of the courses. And how to apply new educational and teaching concept of the information age and better play the advantages of information technology itself has become one of the dominant direction of information technology courses’teaching exploration and research. This paper attempts to introduce Knowledge Building theory and principle, combine with the open source Moodle platform, and choice knowledge closely linked junior high school information technology courses with real life as a teaching content to explore their design and implementation in classroom. Hope to provide a new reference for exploring new educational and teaching research of these courses.Combined Knowledge Building theory with information technology courses’teaching of eighth grade and on the basis of selecting knowledge closely linked courses with real life as a teaching content, the research uses12principles of Knowledge Building to design process of learning activity and relies on the Moodle platform environment’s supporting to launch design and implementation research.The research is divided into two stages. The first stage is pre-study stage. In this stage, The first is to try to construct Knowledge Building learning activity design, construct appropriate Moodle platform and initial apply the design. Second stage is the stage of formal study. In summarizing the pros and cons of the pre-study stage, the design is used for a comprehensive implementation research.The research uses experimental research method as main method. The data can be collected from the classroom video, audio, or Moodle platform for further analysis.The results showed that:1. Knowledge Building learning activity can better improve student’s information technology courses learning attitude.2. Knowledge Building learning activity can greater raise student’s information technology courses knowledge mastery.3. Knowledge Building learning activity can better promote student learning information technology courses skills to master and apply.4. Learning themes of Knowledge Building learning activity run through the entire information technology courses’ teaching content, and make the knowledge and skills covered by the content become a systematic and organic whole.5.Moodle platform can be used as Knowledge Building learning activity supporting environment to support their teaching practice.In this research, the origin of the problem and the problem solving process is done in front line teaching of information technology courses. Therefore, the conclusions can provide some guidance for classroom teachers who launch relevant research. Due to the short study period, the research design is insufficient of depth. The follow-up studies should be further propelled.
