Chinese characters, as a written symbol system for recording Chinese, it is an important part of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Writing Chinese characters is also a skill which foreign students have to learn, in order to achieve the transition from spoken language to written language and from listening-speaking skills to reading-writing skill.In the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, the difficulties of the Chinese character teaching have always been recognized. Chinese characters are so hard to teach, identify and remember that they become "bottleneck" and are difficult to make progress, which greatly affect the successful development of teaching Chinese characters for foreign students.At present, the Chinese characters teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language has gradually got the attention of academic circles, and some scholars have carried out some researches. Articles and monographs about the researches of Chinese characters and Chinese characters teaching have gradually increased; the depth and breadth of those researches also have been extended constantly and deeply. But because the error analysis of Cambodian students’ Chinese characters writing is still inadequate, there is need to give more attention and guide actual teaching better.During the time of thesis writing in Cambodia, the author uses the opportunity of teaching Chinese to collect some considerable writing errors corpus, then sort and analyze, in order to find out writing difficulties in leaning Chinese characters of Cambodia students. Especially the author insights into the indentify and writing process of stroke, stroke order and structures, so that we can find out the causes of those errors and put forward some corresponding teaching strategies based the present situation of the school’s Chinese characters teaching, hoping to help the future Cambodia volunteers in teaching.
