The small group teaching model of the table tennis teaching mainlyrefers to the students under the guidance of teachers, according to the heterogeneousgrouping Divided the students into several groups, give full play to the students’autonomy in the process of learning, promote students to study actively, coordinate tomutual, to develop the students’ ability of social adaptation, team consciousness andability to communicate with people.In This article, use questionnaire survey method, mathematical statistics method,the method of documentary, teaching experiment and other research methods, basedon the research status at home and abroad, the concept of small group teaching modeldefinition, theoretical basis, teaching program of sports in colleges and universities inthe common course for the table tennis teaching researches on the use of small groupteaching mode.The chengdu sports college sports education professional grade2011as experimental object in the common course for the table tennis, Divided the subjectsinto the experimental group and control group use the grouping random samplingmethod, the physical quality, sports technology, learning motivation and cooperationability as the experimental test indicators, using the grouping small group teachingmodel, teaching model, the traditional teaching model of teaching experimentrespectively, by comparing research, found that small group teaching model morehelp sports skill learning, it has significant effect.in cultivating the students’ ability ofsocial adaptation, team consciousness and ability to communicate with peopleespecially.In this article, by means of the control group and experimental groupbefore and after the teaching experiment comparison analysis method the followingconclusions:1.In general course of table tennis, the grouping small group teaching model,teaching method and traditional teaching model can effectively improve student’smovement technical level. On the forehand attack, attack left push right, back spinscore three technical skills assessment and training, after the experiment of theexperimental group and control group, control group2、1results of single factoranalysis of variance, a significant difference (P <0.05), so that small group teachinggrouping pattern optimization and the traditional teaching mode and teaching mode,used in table tennis teaching in the common course is feasible, can effectivelyimprove the students’ table tennis technical level.2.In the table tennis teaching in the common course for the use of small groupteaching model, students to guide each other, encourage each other, movement in the students’ must constantly improve the technology, in the struggle to be recognized inan atmosphere of learning, can effectively prevent the phenomenon of students’learned helplessness.3.Students in the learning process, under the teacher’s guidance and supervision,around the learning goals, set goals, self learning, self assessment, can create a loose,autonomous learning environment, in such a friendly atmosphere helps to cultivate thestudents’ learning initiative, help to develop the students’ ability of cooperation.4.Using small group teaching of the table tennis class will be the past taketeachers as the core to take teachers as the leading students as the main body of theclassroom, make students to strengthen the subject consciousness andself-consciousness, students from passive to active learning. The classroom teachingand learning of mutual penetration, better handling of the "teaching" and "learning"relationship.
