Independent living ability of pupils is the sum of their psychological andphysiological characteristics when they deal with life problems independently andconsciously. Firstly, high-grade pupils’ consciousness of dealing with and solving problemsshould be strengthened. Secondly, high-grade pupils only have some independent livingknowledge by abstract principle; however, the knowledge is not enough to help themsolve real problems in their daily life. Thirdly, high-grade pupils lack knowledge andskill in escape and self-help and also the general knowledge on using gas stove andhome appliances.
