Research issues related to the problem behavior of middle school students show that students’problem behaviors is prevalent in high schools of different levels. It is one of the major issues of high school students’education management which seriously affect the physical and mental healthy development of contemporary students in high schools. The usage of relevant psychological means and methods, prevention and correction of students’problem behavior, students’good psychological quality and the promotion of students’all-round and harmonious development are important parts of quality-oriented education. At the same time, it is also the important task to the implementation of "21st Century Education Revitalization Action Plan","cross-century quality education project" and the cultivation of high-quality talents.Therefore, it is the inevitable requirement of modern education to research and study the present situation of students’problem behavior and to prevent and correct students’ problem behavior promptly and effectively. It is also an urgent task with which a lot of educators are faced.Research methods such as Questionnaire, observation and interview are adopted in this thesis in order to study the present situation of high school students’problem behavior. According to the influence factors of problem behavior theory, attribution theory and the basic theory of middle school students’ problem behavior modification the author analyzes the basic factors that affect students’problem behavior. Based on the present situation and influencing factors of students’problem behavior, some pertinent suggestions are put forward.This thesis is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, including research background, Review of research at home and abroad, significance and research methods. The second part is the relevant definition and theoretical foundations that defines and explains two concepts of students’problem behavior and individual factors. The third part is the analysis of students’problem behavior. Through the analysis of students’ self-rating statistical scale, the result of observations and interview records during the teaching practice, the author understands the overall level and characteristics of students’ problem behavior in high schools. The fourth part is analysis of the relationship between students’problem behavior and individual factors which is the main part of the thesis. This thesis uses SPSS to analyze the relationship between students’problem behavior and four factors of students’gender, academic performance, attribution style and personality characteristics in order to find factors that influence students’problem behaviors. So, it will provide appropriate guidance and reference to the rectify and management of students with problems. The fifth part is proposed according to the third and fourth parts. It puts forward pertinent recommendations to solve the problem on the basis of the understanding of students’problem behavior and the factors that influence the behavior. The sixth Part is the conclusion.Finally, the survey results show that:1. There are not so many serious problems in students’behavior in high schools, but students’problem behavior in slight degree is prevalent.2. Maladjustment in learning and test anxiety are the main problem which are prevalent and serious.3. Students’gender, academic performance and attribution style are main factors affecting students in high schools while there is no direct relationship between personality traits and students’problem behavior.
