A Study Of Cultural Teaching Of Chinese As A Foreign Language In Non - Chinese Language

All countries are closely connected with each other under the circumstance of economic globalization. As the biggest developing country, China has increasing received world attention. Chinese, as one of the most ancient languages in the world, has also become one of the most popular languages among people from all over the world. Therefore, TCSL has been pushed to the stage of intercultural communication and transmission. TCSL is not simply a discipline that teaching Chinese, it is a transmitting and publicizing channel for culture. This paper mainly studies TCSL in non-Chinese speaking environment.Culture education is of great significance to China on reaching out to the world. Culture contains language and is carried by language. Chinese is not only a language spoken by people in Han nationality, but also conveys five thousand years history of Chinese nation as well as the thinking pattern of Chinese people. Thus integration and supplement of language and culture should be always kept in the process of TCSL education.The paper mainly divided into four chapters:the first chapter is the related principle of TCSL culture teaching research. Stating the importance of culture teaching and the relationship between language and culture, which provides the theoretical foundation for the following specific research. The second chapter is the content of culture teaching, and the classification of the content. The third chapter presents the reflection of the cultural factors in the teaching material. The fourth chapter introduces the culture teaching in Tungdagu School in Thailand. It introduces the school’s Chinese teaching, the students’interest and the concrete teaching case, combining theory and teaching practice. Based on the principle of theory to guide practice, help the student to mast Chinese, specifically describe how to teaching Chinese culture under the no-Chinese environment.
