| With the rapid economic development and social opening of China, the world has started an enthusiasm for Chinese language learning. Chinese gradually becomes one international language. Compared with the pressure on Chinese education study, education of Chinese still has a lot of problems because of historical and inherent reasons, among which Chinese promotion in different cultures and areas becomes a challenge. Compared with the problems confronted in Chinese international education, domestic researches are less found than foreign researches, and this is the motivation that the author conducts the study in this essay. From May 2014 to March 2015 the author had been teaching Chinese in Kranuan Middle School in Thailand. As a result the author built immature perspective based on practical experience, and hoped that this can be of considerable help for Chinese educators in their teaching and for the promotion of Chinese culture.Thailand, as an important Southern Asian neighbor country, has long existing economic and cultural cooperation with China. Currently Chinese learning is pretty popular in Thailand. Nevertheless, the local education model and methodology differ with those in China because of different college entrance examination model and education environment. Teachers from China prefer to stress the importance of memorizing, rather than comprehending, in regardless of the difference of students in Thailand and China. Apart from these, researches on Chinese language study in non-Chinese speaking environment were less explored before. Solving the problems and improving the acceptance of Chinese learning becomes the key to improving Chinese education and Chinese promotion in Thailand. Besides, although many middle schools in Thailand set up Chinese courses, the education level is net equal and education resources are not even distributed. Based on the representative example of Kranuan Middle School, the author analyzed the teaching environment of the school, learning conditions of students there and compared foreigner teachers with local teachers. Hopefully this study can provide firsthand information for ether researchers into the study on Chinese teaching.The first chapter of this graduation essay studies the current status of Chinese language international education, history, future trend and problems in the world. Then in the second chapter the author specialized the content of Chapter 1 into Thailand, and gave an outlook about the future development. In the third chapter, the author digs deeper into the composition of Chinese teachers in Thailand by looking into relevant references, and after that, compared local teachers with foreign teachers in terms of teaching methodology, features and in-class organizing based on the conditions of the school where the author worked. In the next chapter the author gave a detailed example of one class and discussed the complement process of Chinese education in Thailand, and summarized the feedback from students. In the last chapter, the author concluded the essay, analyzed the features of Chinese education in Thailand, gave advice on the future development of Thailand Chinese education, and described the limitation of this work. |
