Scientific method is the system theory and method to correct scientific studies, which is created on the basis of the effective rules, approaches and means to understanding and changing the world. Curriculum reform requires that we should enhance the education of scientific method so as to meeting the aim of "process and method" proposed by curriculum standard. The education of scientific methods is favorable to cultivate middle school students’scientific literacy. Moreover, it will make them adapt to the requirements of the development of society as fast and good as possible. Therefore, the education of scientific method in the secondary school days is an urgent problem to solve.It is difficult to truly implement the education of scientific methods in secondary classrooms. In order to obtain a practical and effective way to teaching, I have done much research by combination of the theory and the experience in chemistry teaching. In this thesis, the suitable scientific methods to chemistry teaching in senior middle school were presented by integrating the theory and practice. In addition, for the sake of knowing of the current situation which the senior middle school students knew the scientific method as well as their attitudes, I have conducted a survey in questionnaire tying to find out the application of scientific research method in chemistry class in senior middle school. And the results of the survey are listed as follows.Firstly, although students are interested in the scientific methods in chemistry class and aware of the importance of it, there are still limitations in understanding these methods. The limitations focus on the two aspects:most of students lost the interests when the chemistry items deviate from their tests in school, and only a small number of students are strongly interested in it. Also, they will be more interested in the scientific methods in chemistry class will increase only when they realize that this scientific method is helpful to their school tests, that is to say, they are not aware of the chemistry scientific method has a profound influence in their future development.Secondly, students’attitudes towards the scientific method depend on teacher’s proper guidance in the teaching process. Teachers should strengthen the implementation the curriculum goal of "process and method" and let the students depend on the teacher and teaching material as less as possible. Teachers should guide students through the infiltration of scientific method in chemistry class to enhance their abilities to independent learning.Thirdly, the survey indicated that the students knew the scientific method in chemistry but not meet the requirements of the curriculum reform.Based on the current situation of education of the scientific method in senior middle school, I have classified and refined the target of scientific method in Book One and Book Two of people’s education press. I mainly discussed the ways to infiltrate scientific method into the class, such as the history of chemistry, chemical experiment and chemical exercises. I also gave some specific teaching designs to manifest the strategies to infiltrate scientific method in teaching process. Some effective ways, instructional design, specifying the characteristics of each kind of teaching strategies of scientific method is provided, which is useful for the teachers in the class.
