On The Cultivation Of Artistic Quality Of Art Students

The development of science and technology greatly promotes the whole society to progress and brings enormous material wealth to the society as well as some people who only pursue money and material comfort that inevitably appeared. In pursuit of material comfort, people forgot interrogating their souls so that appeared a large amount of one-side persons who are rich in material but poor in spirit. People’s values tend to be utilitarian and practical. Meanwhile, the tertiary education is influenced by tool rationality and utilitarian values, focusing on professional education and neglecting humanity accomplishment. There are tendencies that science weighs more than humanities,’compulsory courses more than common courses, book knowledge more than practical knowledge, commonness more than individuality, utility more than quality. Based on this factual background, the phenomena of college students majoring in arts lack of humanity accomplishment has become more and more prominent, which has seriously operated against the development of arts educations and affected the harmonious development of college students majoring in arts. Therefore, to foster the humanity quality of college students majoring in arts is an important issue to college research.Through document research, interview and logical analysis, the paper defines some related humanistic concept. Based on the current situation of social development, the paper presented the humanistic quality that college students majoring in arts should have. According to the research and analysis of the current situation of humanistic quality of college students majoring in arts, it is easy to find that college students majoring in arts, lack of humanistic knowledge, who have utilitarian life values, faded ideals and conviction, less morality,worse psychological quality. The above problems are mainly caused by weakening theological education in colleges, ineffective arts education, biased admission policy and negative effect of market economy. Below new historical requirement, the reform of arts education meets more severe challenges. In face of new situation and challenges, the paper try to improve the humanistic quality of college students majoring in arts by means of transforming the ideas of educating college students majoring in arts, optimizing the curriculum system of cultivating the humanistic quality of college students majoring in arts, improving the humanistic quality of college teachers, constructing a humanistic environment of educating college students majoring in arts, strengthening the humanistic care in the process of theological education of college students majoring in arts.
