Research On The Application Of Project Management In Local Social Work Institutions

Social work institutions in China’s development time is relatively short, but a short period of time, there has been a huge change. These changes on the one hand, is affected by the economic globalization after China’s entry into the WTO, on the other hand has also suffered from China in five thousand, inheriting the traditional culture and its unique political system with Chinese characteristics. Chinese scholars summarizes the changes taking place in the social work this new thing into China for "localization, professionalization and specialization". With the gradually advancing "three-lization", local social work institutions have become more and more and the service areas of the local social work institutions increasingly wide. But what followed was the activities of the local social work institutions with limited resources and service the needs of diversified issues become increasingly prominent, the traditional service mode and management of local social work methods already can no longer meet the current needs of service objects in the new situation and deal with the situation. However project management seems has injected new vitality into management of the local social institutions, the vitality is how throughout the service of local social work institutions and forming distinctive local social work institutions project management mode, become the focus of sustainable development of local social work institutions."Project management" has apparently is the development trend of the local social work institutions. But in contemporary China, research on the management of local social work institutions is very lagged and limited, only is confined to the traditional "three-lization", one can imagine the project management of the local social work institutions and even fewer. So this article pre-start from the theory of management, combining with related theories of social work, especially the experience of when I worked as an intern in Shanghai J institutions as a project managers of "Manual workshop-sustainable livelihood programs for people with disabilities", in the framework of the basic knowledge of project management, and will be the research object is limited to the specific process of project management group, the organization’s project management of local social work from the kernel and the extension to certain extend, the last hope that after exploring in the application of project management in local social work institutions, with a kind of strategy and tactics vision, from the short, medium and even long-term level, summed up the project management of local social work institutions remains to be improved, hoping can promote the project management attention and widespread use in the local social work institutions, so as to contribute to a sustainable development of the local social work institutions.
