Student-Teachers’ profession awareness is an important part of the teachers’ professional quality structure, of the basic power of teachers’professional development and the reality need of advancing teachers’ quality. However, in a long time, the ignorance of teachers’ profession awareness in teachers’ education practice and relative theoretical researches leads to crises:the curriculum of student-teachers’education is still based on Pedagogy, Psychology and the subject teaching; the main contents of in-service teaches’training are professional knowledge and teaching skills; the goal of teachers’ professional development is to improve teaching and teaching quality; the teachers’ profession awareness lacks among teachers. As a matter of fact, all the power such as knowledge, affection, ability, will, experience, or even wisdom, physical strength and so on comes from awareness, which will accompany, perceive and control them no matter how gorgeously they grow. Therefore, it is important to discuss and research the teachers’profession awareness.On the basis of pre-existing researches, this thesis starts with the word "profession" in order to explain the right understanding of it in the title. Then the thesis comes to the essence of teachers’ profession and points out the teachers’profession are educational teaching. After the clearing of those questions, the writer begins to explore the theory of teachers’ profession, which includes the concept, structures, features, main contents and functions of teachers’ profession. Then the thesis takes student-teachers’ profession awareness as a perspective and gets the first-hand information of their profession awareness status quo by the way of questionnaires surveys. Finally, the writer will offer some suggestions on enhancing the student-teachers’profession awareness by analyzing the problems and influencing factors of its status quo.In a word, there are some weaknesses in this research for the writer’s limited ability. However, the writer still looks forward to offering some help to student-teachers in their professional development, which will make them prepare well for the future teacher profession.
