In the context of building a high-quality teachers,this paper develops anin-depth study focusing on teachers emotional awareness, which is the basis of theemotional intelligence of teachers. In this research,the teachers emotionalawareness is defined as:In educational activities,a teacher’s ability to recognizeand describe emotion in oneself and students. Emotional awareness of teachers isimportant to carry out teaching activities effectively and promote students mentalhealth,It is also an important part of teachers’ quality,especially teachersemotional qualities. But there is little study about emotional awareness and teachersemotional awareness is extremely rare Therefore, it has theoretical and practicalsignificances to develop the study of teachers emotional awareness.Some research methods such as literature review, individual interview,questionnaires investigation,laboratory experiment are used in the essay. Theresearcher first develops The Levels of Teachers’ Emotional Awareness Scale andTeachers’ Emotional Awareness Questionnaire of Influencing Factors,and thenexplores the structure of teachers emotional awareness and its influencing factors.On this basis, the researcher investigates the current status of teachers’ emotionalawareness. At last,the researcher validate factors that affect teachers emotionalawareness by using eye tracker.The research indicates that:(1)The Levels of Teachers’ Emotional Awareness Scale and Teachers’Emotional Awareness Questionnaire of Influencing Factors can be used as theeffective measurement tool.(2)Influencing factors of teachers’ emotional awareness is composed of twodimensions which are called subjective factors and objective factors.(3)The level of teachers emotional awareness is low and needs to beimproved;Teachers can identify students’ sad mood accurately,but the recognitionof the students anger was worrying.(4)Female teachers’ emotional awareness level is significantly higher than male teachers’;The level of emotional awareness is affected by the taught subjects,arts teachers get the highest level;Class teacher is better than non-class teacher;Teachers’ emotional awareness level has no relationship with teach grade,qualifications, and teaching experience.(5)The influencing factors of teachers’ emotional awareness can be evaluatedby eye tracker.
