As people pay more attention to preschool education, preschool teachers’professional development is of catholic concern. It is our national policy that call onsome primary and secondary school teachers transferring to work at kindergarten,which effectively eases the situation of lack of kindergarten teachers in rural area.But how they are going to facing the start of new career without professionaleducation? What is the current situation on their professional development? How topromote their professional development? For these problems, we need to go intotheir world, and try to understand their real education life.The paper is based on extensive literature reading、sorting, and a lot of surveydata from national training. The use of documentation, interview, observation,questionnaire as the main research methods, tries to carry out a detailed survey forthe present situation on professional development of transfer teachers from Dehongand Baoshan,Yunnan province, which include four dimensions: professional idea,professional ethics, professional knowledge and professional ability. Then the papertries to explore the factors that influence their professional development from threeaspects: governmental’ factors, kindergarten’ factors,teachers ‘personal factors. At last,according to the investigation of situation and influencing factors, the paper tries toput forward some corresponding suggestions: the government should be responsiblefor rural transfer teachers’ professional development; kindergarten should createfavorable conditions for rural transfer teachers’ professional development; transferteachers themselves should play the subjective initiative to promote their ownprofessional development.
