In recent years,teachers' professional development has become a hot topic in the educational circles.Since the State Council issued a notice on the issuance of the rural teacher support plan(2015-2020)in June 2015,the whole society has once again focused its attention on rural teachers.The problems in rural education are complicated and the quality of education and teaching is not satisfactory.It has become a short board for rural construction.In order to develop education,we must first improve the quality of education,and people are increasingly aware that the curriculum of nine-year compulsory education is not strong enough to become educational support for students' lives,so the quality of education in ordinary high schools has become the focus of social attention.The professional development of rural ordinary high school teachers is the key to improving the quality of education,so the author focuses on the current situation of their professional development,finds out the existing problems and discusses the coping strategies.Through questionnaires and interviews,this paper investigates the principals and teachers of three rural senior high schools in Taizhou city,and uses the literature method and case analysis method to fully understand the professional development of rural senior high school teachers.The research found the following problems generally exist in the professional development of rural ordinary high school teachers.First,the satisfaction rate of teachers from teaching in rural ordinary high school is low;Second,the social status and income of rural ordinary high school teachers are low,and teachers attach more importance to the promotion of professional titles and positions.Third,the teachers of rural senior high schools showed too much confidence in their professional development.Fourth,the biggest difficulty in the professional development of rural ordinary high school teachers lies in the heavy workload.The reasons mainly focus on three aspects:inadequate social security,insufficient support from the education authorities,lack of necessary attention from school administrators and teachers' lack of understanding.Therefore,this paper puts forward countermeasures and suggestions from the aspects of policies,schools and teachers:relevant departments should guarantee them from the aspects of policies and finance;Rural schools must do a good job in improving the management and evaluation mechanism and try their best to help teachers create a development atmosphere;Rural teachers should establish the concept of lifelong learning and develop consciously.I hope tiis article can give some inspiration to the rural ordinary high school teachers and help them improve their professional quality to a certain extent.
