Research On Social Mentality Of Vulnerable Groups (National Frontier Region)

Social mentality reflects people’s emotional tone, social consensus and socialvalue orientation in the different stage of social development, is a barometer of socialchanges observation. Disadvantaged groups is the crowd with some obstacles butunable to change the status quo.To pay close attention to the present situation anddevelopment trend of social mentality of vulnerable groups, is especially importantto build the “China dream” of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.This study based on the literature analysis and interviews data established thecriterion of disadvantaged and relative advantaged groups, select313disadvantagedand247relative advantaged groups as the research object from the social attitudessurvey. With the help of Social Representation Theory, Shared Reality Theory,Intersubjective Consensus Theory, through the difference test, correlation analysis,regression analysis, path analysis and other methods, this paper discusses thecharacteristics of social mentality of the vulnerable groups, and set up the mechanismmodel of social mentality. In Yunnan Hui, Han nationalities of vulnerable groups forreference, study the social mentality characteristics of minority disadvantaged, getthe following conclusions:1. Compared with the relative advantaged groups, disadvantaged groupsexperience more negative emotions, and life satisfaction, social support, negotiatefate is lower;2. Minority advantaged groups’ social mentality presents dual nature, both theunique characteristics of its own national and the common features of vulnerablegroups, embodied in: The Hui nationality disadvantaged groups’ weakness identityis lower; Hui disadvantaged groups experience less positive emotions, their negativeemotions, life satisfaction, social support, social justice agree with the Hannationality vulnerable groups; Hui vulnerable groups about others’ stereotype forminority, can affect their ethnic identity and national identity at the certain extent.3. In social mentality mechanism of path analysis, the low degree of socialsupport through negotiate fate of partial intermediary role, together with the negative emotions leads to low levels of life satisfaction and the social injustice.Finally, combined with research conclusion put forward the development ofvulnerable groups social support network and build clear benefit expressionmechanism of social management advice.
