This paper takes two different kinds of bilingual teaching mode injianchuan,Yunnan province as the object of study, and takes Xizhong and Shilongprimary school as the samples. This thesis focuses on the different conditions oflong-term maintenance mode and transitional mode here. By analyzing thecharacteristics of those modes, teaching method, textbook, and teaching faculty, wecan see that how the teaching mode could to influence the Bai nationality students’language ability. Finally, this paper depends on the analysis of defect and shortcomingof the two modes, and for achieve the objective of students’ long-term development,it puts forward some practical countermeasures. The first chapter defines some coreconcepts introduces the reason and background of study, explains the researchpurpose and significance, and then introduces the studying methods. The secondchapter presents the teaching and using conditions of language in Xizhong andShilong, includes those villages’ surrounding, those primary schools’ general situationand bilingual teaching facts. The third chapter focuses on the contrast analyzing of thetwo modes, and then analyzing those schools’ teaching method, textbook, andteaching faculty. The fourth chapter based on the survey data of two schools andanalyzing the students’ language ability under those modes, and then come toconclusion: the difference of mother language is on the reading and writing of Baicharacters, but the difference of Han language is on the four aspects of listening,speaking, reading and writing. The fifth chapter is the summary of this paper, and itputs forward two suggestions for Bai-Han bilingual teaching mode: one is unifiedunderstanding and take more attention to their mother language; another one isenhancing comparison and reduce the negative transfer of their mother language.
