With China's entry into WTO and the rapid advance of internationalization and modernization, it will certainly be important in the twenty-first century for those who participate in international competitions on behalf of China to have the ability to master both Chinese culture and English culture. Education circles have considered it an important task to cultivate qualified bilinguals. Therefore, we should try to find out a new teaching method to meet the demands.As a new field of our present education reformation, bilingual teaching has become the central issue in education circles. So the study of its theory and practice has been a new starting point of quality-oriented education. Then, what is bilingual teaching? What is the key to carrying it out? How should we carry it out? The above-mentioned questions are the topics which should be discussed.The following is the practical value of the thesis. On the one hand, the phrase "bilingual teaching" is defined in terms of theory and is discussed. On the other hand, from the angle of a teacher who teaches with the bilingual teaching mode, I discuss the significance of carrying out bilingual teaching in the history teaching. I also test and verify its practicability by means of the effect, which will be helpful to the study and reformation of the carrying out bilingual teaching in history teaching.
