| With the acceleration of economic globalization, the ever-changing informationtechnology, the pattern of international integration has been formed and theinternationalization of education has has become the world’s major trend of educationreform and development. In recent years, internationalization of basic education hasbecome the crucial part of education reform in many countries and regions. Consideringits characteristics, how can basic education in YunNan meet the international standards?How can we develop talents at international level?Scholars focus on those questions, andthe educators also study on them.Kunming Foreign Language School is a full-time public school, is directly under theBureau of Kunming education department. From the mid-1990s, the school began toexplore the internationalization of education, and has made certain achievements. Throughresearch, interviews and experience, the author summed up the problems existing ininternationalization of basic education. They are, lack of policy，management vacuum, lowlevel, weak awareness, unbalanced development and so on. Aiming at the guidance ofmanagement, the author proposed suggestion of three dimensions: standardization ofmanagement systems, personnel flow diversification, integration of curriculum. The firstis to standardize the management systems: Based on the actual condition in the school,introduce effective policies and measures to further regulate and guide, particularly in theinternational courses, management of foreign teacher, and agencies from the policyformulation level. On the other hand, encourage the development of characteristics anddifferences, and to promote the internationalization of basic education in KunmingForeign Language School, using the experience of one point to lead the whole area. Inaddition, the use of modern educational technology should be laid emphasis on, for it issimpler and more intuitive for communication. |
