The United Kingdom is known as the hometown of higher education. in the 800 years time, the higher education of UK has made a great impact to the establishment and the development of the world higher education. The conceptions of education industry, education market and education import and export were firstly created by UK. With those conceptions, education reforms have been made in higher education field and introduced market mechanism into the operations of higher education. Since the end of the 80s, UK has increasingly attached more importance to the development of the internationalization of the high education and adopted proactive strategies, and achieved noticeable results.The paper is consisted of 5 parts. In the first place, an overall preview, the general background of the UK internationalization of higher education, has been made on the history and current situation of the internalization of the higher education in UK. Then, the strategies adopted by UK have been described when UK promoted the progress of development of its internationalization. The strategies are narrated from 3 aspects: strategies related to curriculum, to services and to international communications. Based on the above study, analysis has been made in the theories of strategies of intemationalization of higher education in UK, and emphasizes on the study of characteristics of the strategies and the rationales of the strategies in two aspects: country and university. The final part is to summarize the valuable experiences, including accelerating mutual acceptance of diploma, promoting the education publicities in foreign countries, enhancing the development of Joint school, ensuring the quality of the international schooling and promoting the development of internet education, which may fit for the condition of china.
