The research on the influencing factors of children's acadammic grades has always been the basic topics of academic circle.The academic circle has discussed the effects on children's academic grades from the perspective of individual(gender or characteristics),family(the faiths or the education levels of parents)and school(school type or class scale).Among these influencing factors,socioeconomic status of family is one of the most typical variables,most of which can be measured from three dimensions: the occupations and education levels of parents,and household income.Relative study shows that socioeconomic status of family is related tochildren's academic grades,but not point out how the socioeconomic status of family affects children's academic grades,lack of the path and mechanism of the socioeconomic status of the family on children's academic grades.Based on the results of present researches,this study aims to analyse the relationships between children's academic grades and socioeconomic status of family,Furthermore,it explores the influencing paths and mechanisms of children's academic grades,and makes a contribution to narrowing the gap between children's academic grades and promoting the equality of education.This study based on the theory of human capital,cultural capital and social capital,takes the path and influence mechanism of family socioeconomic status to children's academic grades as research objective,analysischildren's academic grades of five primarycontain the east and west five cities by using multivariable linear regression model.The model result shows that:1?Children's academic grades have a remarkable positive relationship with socioeconomic status of family.Children's academic performances are better with a higher socioeconomic status of family.2?Socioeconomic status of family influences children's academic grades through two paths: First,different socioeconomic status of family determines the children's educational resources,such as the difference in the choice of admission opportunities(school type)and market-based educational resources,and furthermore affects children's academic grades.Second,families with different socioeconomic statuses determines the children's emotional support,education expectations and educational participations for children in varying degrees,Among them,,family educational participation has cross correlations with meta-variables like educational expectations,together acting on children's academic grades.3?At present,the differences of children's academic grades are notable on the geographic distribution of western and eastern,which the eastern developed areas of children's academic grades is higher than the western undeveloped areas.
