In the deepening period of our country’s social transformation, education isexperiencing a dramatic change hitherto unknown, which makes high school teachers beareven more work stress than ever before. And it is really urgent to solve the work stress ofhigh school teachers. Beijing No.S High School is a model high school with a history ofover a century, carrying the deep hope of the society and parents. As a result, the teachersin the high school always feel the tremendous work stress. The research on themanagement of its senior high school teachers’ work stressor is to develop a scientific,reasonable control from the source so as to provide some practical help for the teachers andassist them in their work of teaching and education. According to the actual situation ofBeijing No.S High School, the methods of questionnaire, interview and observation areused to make a research on the senior high school teachers’ work stress source. The resultsare shown as follows:1. The stress of work overload is mainly from the overload of work quantity; thearrangement of working time is flexible, but too many meetings have squeezed the time forpreparing lessons; the risk of work is less, but the stress of duties and responsibilities islarger and so on are the features of the challenge stressor of the senior high school teachersin Beijing No.S High School.2. Functional organization structure causes the teaching and research groups to bemultiply commanded by different functional departments, which is prone to work conflicts;the stress of the teachers’ role ambiguity is smaller, but a certain stress of the teachers’ roleconflict exists; the stress of the teachers’ work safety is smaller; the school’s consultationmechanism has not yet formed a regular work system and has randomness; the informationcommunication mechanism runs well; the stress of the teaching quality monitoringmechanism is larger; that the educational organization decision-making mechanism runspoorly brings stress to the teachers’ work and so on are the features of the hindrancestressor of the senior high school teachers in Beijing No.S High School.3. The Interpersonal relationship among the senior high school teachers is harmonious;the senior high school teachers are satisfied with the current job and value it; the seniorhigh school teachers have confidence in their comprehensive quality and have relativelysmall stress; the constantly changing occupation standard has stress on the senior highschool teachers’ work; the stress of the school’s organizational reform is smaller; the stressof self expectation produced by comparing with others’ salary is larger; that the stress oflife is larger have an influence on the teachers’ work and so on are the features of otherrelevant stressors of the senior high school teachers in Beijing No.S High School. 4. Reducing the teachers’ non business work, compressing the quantity and time ofconferences; leaders are clear about their leadership roles and empower others moderately;strengthening the communication among all the departments of the school, establishing asupervision mechanism conducted by the supervisor to avoid conflicts; deepening thereform and keep improving the relevant operating mechanism; enhancing the effectivenessof psychological counseling; teachers adjust their own psychology actively and so on arethe main management strategies of the senior high school teachers’ work stressor in BeijingNo.S High School.
