Composition teaching always be one of the most important part in Chineselanguage teaching. The students’ level of writing is the way to judge the level of theirChinese language. But the problem of teaching composition is exists persistently.Composition seems to be the most difficult thing between students and teachers.Students often afraid of writing and teachers also feel it is very hard to teach writinglessons. Combined with the situation above, we must ask: what happened to thecomposition study and teaching? With the use of the new course standard and thereform of the curriculum, we could find that some of the predecessors’ ideology ofcomposition teaching can serve as a guideline for our composition teaching today.To most of people Liang Qichao for them is the important ultimate originator ofGongche Shanshu movement. Actually, he is not only an statesman, but also anscholar with splendid achievements in Chinese literature and Chinese education,especially in composition teaching, he has his own viewpoints and ideas, and they arebeen significant. His composition teaching system not only fit for that time he lived,but also fit for our composition teaching today in some ways. So the research of hiscomposition teaching system deeply is necessary. The research can make us knowmore about the composition teaching system of Liang Qichao, and can help us tosolute some composition teaching problems for today’s composition teaching at thesame time. Though his composition teaching system, we can also use the suitablesystem of him to develop our composition teaching today.This paper starts from the history of Chinese teaching, describe the situation ofdevelopment of Chinese teaching simply, and then discuss the Liang Qichao’scomposition teaching system, beyond his composition teaching system find out the ways to help composition teaching for today.The paper comprised of three parts: introduction, main body and conclusion. Inthe introduction, it introduced the reason of writing this paper and the worthy ofwriting it. And then the main body discussed the Liang Qichao’s composition teachingsystem form four parts.The first chapter introduced the history of Chinese teaching, and then discussedthe historical significance and practical significance of Liang Qichao’s compositionteaching system. The second chapter introduced the formation and development of hissystem. The third chapter discussed the Liang’s composition teaching system formfour parts: his ideas of composition teaching, his methods of composition teaching,his details of composition teaching and his ways of correct the composition. The lastchapter discussed the suitable ideas and methods of Liang Qichao’s compositionteaching system which can used in our teaching of composition today. The conclusionis a summary of this paper.
