Subjects in Experimental groups I and II undertook a 16-week, once a week,90 minute yoga training session with their respective yoga instructional method(Traditional for Group I and New-style for Group II). Physical indicators like physique, physical health and bodily percentage makeup were surveyed for all subjects before and after the 16-week regime. All statistical analysis was done using spss17.0 software, and comparisons of all monitored physical indicators before and after the 16-week period were made for the three experimental group subjects from the analysis results. Conclusion: 1. The new yoga teaching method changed university female students’ abdominal perimeter, abdominal skinfold thickness, back skinfold thickness, weight,BMI, vital capacity, grip strength, step index, sit-ups, sit and reach, standing on one foot with eyes closed, the amount of fat, body fat percentage, fat percentage, degree of obesity are very significant differences(P <0.01); WHR, chest perimeter, perimeter hip, thigh perimeter, perimeter arm, upper arm skinfold thickness, vertical jump, muscle mass, muscle ratio values, lean body mass, basal metabolic differences were significant(P <0.05).3.Compared to the new post-workout yoga teaching yoga and traditional teaching methods in step index, sit-ups, sit and reach, standing on one leg with eyes closed, the degree of obesity are very significant differences(P <0.01); in peripheral arm, upper arm skinfold thickness, weight, vital capacity, grip strength, vertical jump, muscle mass, muscle ratio values, fat mass, body fat percentage, fat percentage, fat free mass, basal metabolic differences were significant(P <0.05); You can find these two methods can improve body shape college girls, physical fitness, body composition related indicators. But the effect of the new yoga teaching methods more comprehensive, more significantly, indicating that the new way of teaching yoga is a more appropriate way of teaching physical education at public universities to carry out.4.The control group, peripheral, abdominal skinfold thickness, fat mass, body fat percentage, fat percentage, abdominal obesity degree subjects were significantly different(P<0.05).
