With the establishment of the three-level curriculum management system and the curriculum management idea to keep pace with the Times, the concept of curriculum leadership gradually replaced the curriculum management. As the soul of the kindergarten curriculum, kindergarten principal’s curriculum leadership, to a large extent affected the quality of curriculum. There are 70 principals of demonstration kindergartens,first-grade kindergartens and second-grade kindergartens in Shanghai Y district have participated in the questionnaire survey, And then the researcher selected3 principals conducted an in-depth interview to comprehensive understanding of the present situation of the kindergarten curriculum leadership. On this basis, we analysed the present situation and problems of kindergarten principal’s curriculum leadership, and the cause of the problems.Research found that, principals admit their own clear understanding and level of curriculum leadership, but connotation of the curriculum leadership is not be grasped completely, there are large individual differences in manifestation of leadership and focus on different curriculum leadership work. On the curriculum professional technical leadership, the principals play a role, but there are also some deficiencies and difficulties. On the Curriculum development team leadership, principals pay more attention to the content and rules of organization operation and course on the exchange of information, but do not attach enough importance to discuss the development team goals. On the curriculum leadership of faculty, principals focus on the teachers’ professional development, but some objective factors restrict the principals. On the curriculum leadership organizational culture, principals focus on the construction of vision culture and cooperation culture, but is not good at building the study of cultural. On the curriculum leadership of public relationship, principals use parents and the community resources more fully, but there are also some problems,experts and the superior resources use needs to be improved. Overall kindergarten curriculum leadership faces obstacles from the lack of professionalism,the low level of teachers’ professional ability, lack of resources from the experts.According to the present situation and problems, this paper respectively put forward some suggestions to improve kindergarten principal’s curriculum leadership from the concept of curriculum leadership and curriculum leadership practice.
